"Water Lilias" is inspired by Claude Monet's Water Lilies color palette. The color palette that paints the sky's reflection on the water is full of delicate blues, light pinks, and muted lilacs. This artwork is also inspired by Lilias Torrance Newton, a Canadian artist whose portraits are simply breathtaking. I love the complex simplicity of her aesthetic and she inspired me to create my own kind of complex simplicity with this piece.
